This week I wish for

Welcome to this weeks slightly delayed Wish List. I hope you are having a good week and not letting the changes in the weather get you down - after all, shopping can be done from the comfort of your home, so snap this weeks five asap.

1. First off is this ladylike satin blouse from Topshop. The detail on the neckline is unusual and bold enough for you not to worry about what necklace to wear! Wear with shorts and brogues now, and with tailored trousers and an oversized cardi come Autumn. £40 from Topshop.

2. I came across these bracelets on ASOS.com the other day and thought they would be the perfect accessory for a bright bikini on the beach. Would also look great with a black maxi dress and sandals for an evening sipping cocktails on the beach, £14 for the set.

3. These cute New Look pumps are just the thing to brighten up your summer work wear, £22 for the pair. Add to a black skirt and white shirt combo and you never have to look plain again! Try with a pastel colour on your toenails.

4. The new Pearl Lowe for Peacocks collection has recently gone into store and it includes some great bargain buys, my favourite being this cropped white cami top for £22. Pair it with some printed shorts and hope that someone mistakes you for her v.stylish daughter!

5. Last on the list this week is this leopard print clutch from Topshop for £50. Not the cheapest accessory but leopard print is set to be a key pattern from AW10 and there's no excuse not to start shopping early! Or at least that's what I'm telling myself...

Stripes and Espadrilles

Up until now I've mainly been posting images of other people's style - celebrities and the like who have the money to look fabulous every day. So I thought it was about time I posted some pictures of myself and my own style. Far from perfect, but I enjoy dressing and planning outfits for different occasions and feel I ought to share that with you all. For me, fashion inspiration comes as much from celebrities as it does from seeing random people on the street, on the tube, in shopping centres, in bars etc. I love to look at other peoples outfits, see how they've decided to wear a particular item and it inspires me to give something new a go. So from time to time I will post a picture of myself, starting with today. Enjoy, and I hope I can inspire you to try different things and take risks to work out your own style.

Wednesday Wonders

Hope everyone's week has been going well so far and you are all ready for another Wednesday Wish List!

1. To begin with today I bring you an absolute beauty of a dress from Topshop Boutique. £150 worth of ruffled baby pink gorgeousness, very Luella and pastel
perfection! Snap it up asap.

2. Next up are these gorgeous Jeffrey Campbell wedged boots, available at motelrocks.co.uk. Very Gaga, very glam and very attention seeking, as quite frankly all heels should be in my opinion! This pair are £119 but check out www.motelrocks.co.uk for the full collection.

3. Now, can you say Mulberry-alike? This royal blue satchel bag from ASOS.com could easily be confused for a Mulberry Alexa and let's face it, who doesn't like a designer inspired bargain?

4. Next on this weeks Wish List is this denim dress from Red Herring at Debenhams. Double denim, tie waist and utility-inspired, this is the perfect day dress at only £35. Wear with espadrilles and aviators in the sun.

5. Not that I want the Summer to be over in a hurry but its always exciting to snap up next seasons trends before everyone else is wearing them. This shearling aviator jacket from New Look is the first step towards your AW wardrobe. £40 well spent, tuck it away into your wardrobe until the days get chilly(er) and you'll be on trend before the seasons even started!

Blair vs Leighton

Perusing the Internet earlier I came across some rather exciting pictures of the Gossip Girl cast filming the new series in Paris. Blair and Serena looking as glamorous as ever and Chuck... well, looking like Chuck - as dapper as ever. Take the below picture as proof - just how amazing is this red Oscar de la Renta gown with a magenta clutch and heels?

I don't know about you but I'm a Blair fan through and through, as fabulously blonde and lean as Blake Lively's Serena is, no one does occasion wear like Blair. But Leighton Meester is a far cry from her character - gone is the Upper East Side school girl and in comes the on trend 20-something. So I thought I would pose the question - are you Blair and Leighton? Prim dresses and peachy skin or fiercely dressed and smokey eyed?

To solve the dilemma of Blair vs Leighton I've put together two evening outfits, one for Blair and one from Leighton. Take your pick and mix and maybe even mix and match the two.

First up is Blair, and I have taken the inspiration for this outfit from the crisp white dress she wore to the White Party at the beginning of Season Two. I've mixed in some pastels and best of all, some fierce shoes for the look. Add in some soft curls, some nude lip gloss and a Queen B attitude.

Lilac hairband, £15, Accessorize
Dress, £45, Miss Selfridge
Clutch bag, £22, ASOS.com
Heels, £70, Topshop

Next up is Leighton, and Ms Meester tends to go for a much fiercer silhouette than her alter ego. A lover of bodycon, modern prints and heels with attitude, this black dress and accompanying accessories are the right side of edgy and ever stylish for evening. The cut-out details are perfect for Leighton's youthful looks and make the dress all the more interesting.

Black dress, £50, New Look
Necklace, £30, Topshop
Clutch, £30, Miss Selfridge
Platform ankle boots, £170, Kurt Geiger

The Wednesday Wish List

It's that time of the week again! And I don't know about you but I could do with some high street bargains (when couldn't I?).

1. To start with this week I bring you an absolute bargain of a summer top, behold this tropical parrot print cropped tee from missguided for £8.99. Very Club Tropicana, very now and would look perfect with a tan, some denim cut offs and some bright, bright nail polish.

2. Next on the list is this waistcoat from Monsoon Fusion for £40. Khaki? Check. Embellished? Check. Throw it over a white vest and some harems and keep the military trend alive this summer.

3. I am especially lusting over these chic gold bracelets from Miss Selfridge, £10 for the two. Continuing on from springs love affair with all things Parisian and quite frankly the cutest things I've seen all week. Only question now is Oui, Non or both?

4. Shoe boots don't seem to be going anywhere and this black pair from Matalan are a bargain at £20. Buy now and wear throughout winter as well - or at least that's how I'll be justifying buying yet another pair of shoes!

5. Last on the WWL this week is this fun attitude tee from Topshop Boutique for £25. Not that I'm suggesting any of you need dressing up, but this tee is the perfect look for day. Pull your hair into a bun and wear with some fierce sandals. Perfect.
